You make a difference! Each month, we collect needed donations of food and other items for area food pantries, shelters and groups with our Mitzvah of the Month program. The receiving agency and the types of items are announced in the weekly e-newsletter. Our two Mitzvah Boxes are conveniently located in our parking lot near the handicapped parking spaces and our Sanctuary lobby. Drop off anytime!

DCFYI also facilitates mentorships, foster parents, and adoptions through their program. Items needed include a variety of slipper sizes (men’s 9–13 and women’s 7–10), socks (a mix of sizes for teens/young adults ranging from basic crew socks to colorful or fuzzy or warm winter socks), and mittens/glovesfor teens/young adults.
For many women in our area, not having enough money for feminine hygiene products is a monthly problem. During April, please help these women by dropping off sanitary napkins of any size (no other type of feminine hygiene products) in the Mitzvah Boxes. Your donations will go to Northern Virginia Family Service.
