Calling all TRS Travelers! Taking a trip with other members of Temple Rodef Shalom is always a great way to learn more about the diversity of Jewish communities worldwide but also a way to meet other members.
We have a few exciting TRS trips under construction for the next year and want to get the word out about destinations and dates! If any (or all!) of these destinations are of interest, please register for more information and pencil us in. We look forward to traveling with you.
Here is a line-up* of the trips we are planning:
Cantor Sydney Michaeli and Cookie Mandell will co-lead a trip to Brooklyn called “Hipsters and Hasids.” It will explore the diversity of Jewish communities, from Crown Heights to Williamsburg to Park Slope.
Cantor Michael Shochet and Cookie Mandell will co-lead a trip to Hollywood to learn more about the Jews – the studio “moguls” – who had an outsized influence on the development of the movie-making industry through their vision, work ethic, and prodigious business acumen.
During these difficult times, our connection to the people and the land of Israel, as well as our responsibility to understand and engage with what is happening there and what people are doing to address the many challenges facing both Israelis and Palestinians, are as important as ever. This trip will be focused on seeing what is happening now and learning about the work that is being done to help all who are suffering from the war and lay the groundwork for a better future.

Explore Jewish Morocco with Cantor Michael Shochet & Executive Director Jessica Ingram
Be ready for the adventure of a lifetime in Morocco! We’ll explore the ancient Jewish communities, meander through the medinas, savor the spices and flavors of the local cuisine and soak up the culture from Casablanca to Marrakech and beyond! The trip will take place November 3-13, 2025 with a Tangier & Chefchaouen extension November 13-16.
