The Mothers Circle at Temple Rodef Shalom (TRS) is for non-Jewish women who are raising their children in the Jewish faith within the context of interfaith/intermarriage. The group empowers women through education and support to learn about the religion, rituals, and traditions practiced at home and in the synagogue. It provides an opportunity to become comfortable with the components of weekly services, High Holiday services, and life-cycle events. As the women form a bond through discussion of the challenges, concerns, and experiences related to their journey, the group also becomes a foundation for a community within the broader TRS community. The Mothers Circle meets monthly from September through May. Participants do not have to be members of TRS or have any prior knowledge of Judaism.
