From Refugee to U.S. Soldier: The Journey of Frank Cohn

This year’s speaker for the Federal Interagency Holocaust Remembrance Program is Colonel Frank Cohn. Born in Breslau, Germany, he experienced Nazi persecution firsthand before fleeing to the United States in 1938. In 1943, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where his fluency in German led him to serve on an intelligence team interrogating German prisoners of war. During the war, he learned that 11 members of his extended family were killed in the Holocaust.

The program is live streamed free and open to the public. It will also be available for later viewing. Please click here for more information and to watch.
