Parent Communication & Policies

Carpool Arrangements

Notify us of any changes to carpool arrangements. For each child involved, please include the child’s full name, teacher’s name, parents’ names, and any new person authorized to pick-up. If multiple families are involved, a parent from each family must email their permission.

Reporting Absences

Notify ECC of your child’s absence via email or phone! Please include your child’s full name, teacher’s name, date(s) of absence, and a brief reason for absence. If your child is diagnosed with a communicable illness, please notify the ECC as soon as possible.

Inclement Weather Policy

TRS ECC generally follows Arlington County Schools for school closure and delayed opening due to inclement weather.

When Arlington County Schools are:

CLOSED:
-ECC is closed
Delayed 2 hours:
– ECC is delayed 1 hour
– Early Morning drop-off begins at 9:00 a.m.
– School begins at 10:00 a.m.

TRS ECC will always communicate school closures via email, text, and Playground app notification. The above is intended only as a general guide and TRS ECC’s closures may differ from Arlington County Schools.

The kindergarten program has far surpassed our expectations. The kids are learning all the reading, writing, and math skills needed to excel in first grade, in an environment that fosters creative thinking and a love of learning.

The teachers and staff are extremely kind and well-versed in their field. I love that the curriculum is play based, but also ensures kindergarten preparedness. TRS has a beautiful campus and excellent resources to meet any child's needs.

TRSECC has been a blessing for our family and 3 children. Knowing their first school experience was one where they felt loved, were safe, and had fun while developing the building blocks for learning is such a gift.
