Spring Mitzvah Day is just around the corner (Sunday, June ; Schmooze & Nosh at 8:30 AM, Kick Off by 9:00 AM, Activities finish by 1:00 PM) and we are in need of food, toiletries, t-shirts, bikes, and clothing. Where do all these donations go? Who do they help? Over the next few weeks, we will provide you with some information about the organizations and the PEOPLE your donations help. Our Daily Bread

Our Daily Bread identifies and addresses the unmet fundamental needs of Fairfax area residents and empowers the community to help our neighbors maintain self-sufficiency.

They are a volunteer-based organization focused on easing the plight of low income residents in the Fairfax County area of Virginia. They draw volunteers from local faith-based groups, community organizations, local businesses, schools and universities.

Put your old bike to good use by donating it to Bikes for the World!

The mission of Bikes for the World is to:

  • To make quality used bicycles and parts affordable and available to lower income people and select institutions in developing countries to enhance their lives and livelihoods through better transport.
  • To generate skilled employment in bicycle repair and maintenance overseas, and to provide satisfying environment and humanitarian community service opportunities for volunteers in the United States
