Talmud for Elul! – What Does It Take to Change? (3 sessions)

Sep 2, 2026 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The month of Elul, which leads up to Rosh Hashanah, is designated by Jewish tradition as a time for reflection. How are we living, how are our relationships doing (to ourselves, each other, and the wider communities we are part of), and is there anything we want to change? If so, what might it take for us to change? These questions also fascinated the ancient rabbis who created the Mishnah and Gemara (which collectively make up the Talmud). In this short class, we’ll explore some of their reflections on change (in English translation), and try them on for ourselves.

3 sessions:
Wed, Aug 19
Wed, Aug 26
Wed, Sept 2

Come if you love Talmud, come if you’ve never studied Talmud, come if you’d like to reflect! Everyone is welcome. Please click here to register.
