Important Updates
Here we will post important
updates and information, concerning weather, event cancellations, event
time/location changes, building/security emergencies, and other
important notifications. Please note that any important updates
will also be posted prominently on the home page to make it easy for you
to find.
Inclement Weather Policy
Temple Rodef Shalom generally
follows the same policies as the Fairfax County Public School system.
We will strive to always advise our congregants and community via
several methods. During periods of expected inclement weather,
please check the temple's home page, where we will post announcements of
any closings of the facilities. In addition, we will set our phone
system to provide an automated response for callers, advising them of
any facility closings. Please see below for specific inclement
weather policy for the Nursery School and Religious school.
TRS Nursery School Policy

When
Fairfax County Public Schools are CLOSED, the Nursery School is
CLOSED.

When
Fairfax County Public Schools have a DELAYED opening, the Nursery
School OPENS ON TIME.

When
Fairfax County Public Schools CLOSE EARLY, the Nursery School
CLOSES AT 12:15: NO EXTENDED DAY, NO ENRICHMENT CLASSES.

If
there are any changes to the above, you will receive a PHONE CALL.
TRS
Religious School INCLEMENT WEATHER Policy

TRS
Religious School follows Fairfax County Schools – if they close,
close early or cancel afternoon activities we will close.

Weekday decisions will be made by 3 p.m. and Sunday decisions by 7
a.m.

If
classes are cancelled (hopefully NOT), we’ll post on WTOP radio,
WTOP.com, and change the phone message for the Religious School
(703-532-2207).
