"The Rise and Fall of Ancient Israel: From the Exodus through the Babylonian Exile in Light of New Archaeological Discoveries," featuring Dr. Eric H. Cline, Chair of the Department of Classical and Semitic Languages and Literatures at The George Washington University. JCC of Greater Washington is offering free Lamaze classes, "L'Amazing Baby: Childbirth Preparation with a Jewish Twist." This class offers parents-to-be a traditional prepared childbirth class, plus a support network for welcoming a child into the Jewish community. Couples will learn about Brit Milah (ritual circumcision), baby-naming ceremonies, managing the transition from being partners to parents, building a Jewish home and Jewish and secular resources. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and nurture relationships with other expecting couples. Join your neighbors at "Empty Bowls" February 23 from 6:30-8:30 pm at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax.
