OUR
COMMITMENT
The
Bridge to Israel Committee is committed to bringing Temple Rodef Shalom (TRS)
into a closer, more intimate relationship with Israel. We strive to inform and
increase our knowledge of Israel and Israeli life.
We are,
also, committed to fostering religious pluralism in Israel; and we do
this through our support of Reform Judaism in Israel and ARZA (Association of
Reform Zionists of America). To
visit the Association of Reform Zionists of America (ARZA) website, please
Our partnership with K’hilat Ra’anan a Reform
congregation in Ra’anana, Israel, allows us to work with one congregation in
ways that support their congregational programs and outreach to the wider
community.
We
further demonstrate our commitment by offering and supporting educational,
worship, travel, and celebratory programs and opportunities. These events are
publicized in our monthly Temple Bulletin and through the congregational
E-newsletter.
We
welcome your participation. Please join us at our meetings, the third Thursday
of each month at 7:30PM. Feel free to call any of the committee members listed
below for more information. We are listed in the TRS Directory.
MORE
ABOUT OUR PARTNERSHIP
TRS
entered into a partnership with Temple K’hilat Ra’anan in Ra’anana, Israel.
While on TRS trips to Israel, our members visit K’hilat Ra’anan. They attend
services in the splendid sanctuary and spend time in discussion with congregants
and Rabbi Kolberg .
Rabbi Tammy Kohlberg visited TRS in February 2007 and 2008 as our
Scholar in Residence. The committee envisions wide participation in this
partnership program by other committees and congregational groups.
The Bridge to Israel
Fund is a TRS
established fund. We appreciate your contributions to honor, thank,
memorialize, and commemorate.
