Admission

Enrollment begins in December for classes beginning the following September. All children between the ages of two and five as of September 30 are eligible for admission to the school. Priority is given to current students, their siblings, and Temple members.

Parents of prospective students are encouraged to attend the Open House that is scheduled each January. Please call the Nursery School in December for the date and time. We begin accepting applications for our Nursery School program the evening of the Open House. An application fee of $100 ($125 after January 30) and a copy of the child's birth certificate must accompany the application.

Please apply early — spaces are limited. 

Letters of acceptance are mailed in March for the next school year.

Program Information

The average class has 12-14 children with one teacher and two assistants. The following classes are offered:

Stepping Stones

(child's date of birth must fall between 10/1/10 and 12/31/10)

The program will provide a period of transition from a shorter day to the full three-hour session.  A parent or consistent caregiver/nanny must attend with the child from September through December.

2 year olds

(children must be 2 by September 30th)

•     2 days per week, 9:15a.m.-12:15p.m.
•     3 days per week, 9:15a.m.-12:15p.m.
•     5 days per week, 9:15a.m.-12:15p.m.

3 year olds

(Children must be 3 by September 30th)

•     3 days per week, 9:15a.m.-12:15p.m.
•     4 days per week, 9:15a.m.-12:15p.m.
•     5 days per week, 9:15a.m.-12:15p.m.
•     5 days per week, 9:15a.m.-2:00p.m. (Transitional)

 

Fours and Fives

(Children must be 4 by September 30th and must be toilet trained)

•     5 days per week, 9:15a.m.-12:15p.m.
•     5 days per week, 9:15a.m.-2:00p.m.

The Nursery School offers an Enrichment Program until 2:00 p.m. for children enrolled in our Three Year Old and Fours and Fives programs.  All children enrolled in Enrichment Programs must be toilet trained.
